Dear People Who Wrote in the 1800s and Before,

Okay... you know that little thing you have going on with the letter s? Or, not-s, as the case may be. When I've got to read 50 or more pages of it it is not endearing anymore. Stop it. I can see that your crazy old printing press had the letter s because it's there when there's a double s.

Gofhdarnit, Erafmuf Darwin, why didn't you have a typewriter and modern Englifh fpelling?

Finferely,

Holy crap! I just read a play called the "Basset Table" (or Baffet Table) and I spent a good hour at the Reg trying to find a modern edited version and Failing miserably. Wow, this is karma. We hate 1800 people. Damn.

Oh, I'm sure there were some very nice 1800s people... I just don't want to read what they wrote straight and unedited. I have to think too much about what the words are supposed to be, and it gives me a headache which, well, makes me miferable. Especially words like fifh... it burnf us, preciouf, burnfffff!
