All right. I have offically survived Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. If you can look beyond the atrocious acting and bad dialog, it was actually quite good. And let's face it, if you're watching Star Wars for the dialog and acting and not the space battles and lightsaber duels... well, I don't imagine you've watched more than part of one anyway. Plus the dialog in this one wasn't nearly as bad as the ones before (and totally lacked the horribly quotable lines the last Matrix movie managed to create). I think that's probably what won it all the positive reviews: better dialog (by virtue of there being much, much less) and HOLY SPACE BATTLES. Just what I was expecting from it. Beautiful, really. Well, okay, not really. But dude, lightsabers! Sadly, I did not dress up. Mostly because you could see my underwear through my white pants and though I looked force-adept I was no one specific, so I figured I'd avoid the questions and just put on some normal pants (I did not, however, change out of my killing-things Hawkeye-type boots). I don't think I'll say anything more, because if you want to know about the movie you really should go see it for yourself. There are a few facepalm moments, but for a movie where you already know exactly what happens in the end, it does a rather good job of entertaining you in the intervening time.

Other than that, today's been pretty uneventful. There were a few quotes here and there that I wanted to remember, but I don't anymore. And they were mostly entirely irrelevant to anyone but me anyway. So I'll let that slide. I did almost make a phone post from the bus though, just so other people could hear random shouting of "Hey, there were some good-looking Siths!"

Just so I will have now mentioned this twice in this journal: Chopin's Etude in E Major needs to stop being the basis for "We Were Lovers" because it drives me nuts trying to sing along and discovering it's not the same. Yeah. Silly Jean Jacques Brunel! (Also, someone needs to freaking seed the Speed Grapher 7 raw. Even though the whole love subplot/plot is freaking annoying, I'm still holding out for some hot Saiga-battle action). Also, the FMA OST-3 is, so far, much more listenable than the other two. Yay!
