Okay... so apparently a bunch of Sci-Fi writers (the SFWA, to be more precise) got it into their heads to take down this vanity publisher that's been claiming to be a "real" publishing house... mostly because they posted some rather mean and stupid stuff about SciFi/Fantasy writers. And how did they do this? Atlanta Nights. It's like... really bad fanfiction without the fandom and with marginally better grammar and functioning spellcheck (because they are authors, afterall). It's bad... very bad. And a good 3/4 of it is rather disturbingly smutty (including the phrase "my hot juicy little love-box"). But at least chapter 1 is worth the read, for the pure BAD involved. The best part is that it's... it's written-by-sci-fi-authors-type bad. And I could swear that whoever wrote like, chapter six or whatever was listening to Cake at the time. And if you're not paying enough attention, you miss some of the incredibly well-hidden jokes (it's quite possible not to pay enough attention, because, let's face it, it's painful). Plus the whole plot appears to be about sexy nurses, massage therapists, and software nerds. Oh, and it's set in Atlanta, so everyone is randomly in and out of very odd accents (mostly the men). Quite disturbing. Hehehehe.
