It isn't often I have links to throw at people. But... having come across Malajube today, I feel very, very compelled to share two of their videos I found.
On one hand, we have Pâte Filo, which is animated in a sort of black and white Waking Life style... which somehow includes the sort of random I usually expect only from the Japanese. (They end up playing their instruments in from of a bar graph and a pie chart, what?)
And on the other, we have Fille à plumes, which appears to be about a voodoo lady who turns everyone into a zombie with detachable limbs and a black ski-mask/Heartless sort of face. Honest, this video is worth it just for the dance at the end.
And unfortunately, what got me going on all of this, is the fact that Montréal -40° C is rather catchy.
Now I'm kind of left with a lingering feeling of my incompetence when it comes to French anymore.
P.S. Is it unhealthy to follow Wilco with Chinese dance-pop?
