Things that are hard to do in the dark: remounting rearview mirrors.

Things you do not trust your mother to do: drive to work in the morning without one, because she refuses to use the side mirrors with an audacity that implies refusing to use them is a good and noble thing.

Yes, somehow in the heat today, wherever my mom parked at work, she managed to melt the adhesive off of the rearview mirror. I don't blame it... this heat is awful and my car's interior's all black.... but... my poor, poor former car. I wish there was a way to liberate it from her, but I think at this point, the damage is too great. No heat, no air conditioning, rusting, and smelling of smoke. And I kept it so clean...

Random observation: in a pinch, if the directions tell you to mark something in crayon and you can't find crayons/are too lazy to look harder, a bar of soap works just as well. Plus I want my mom to get up in the morning and find I actually remembered to fix it, then wonder why there's soap all over her windshield. I should write something on it.

Also, I've been incredibly bored lately. Anyone care to save me with something (dial-up friendly) entertaining? I know I should be starting outlines for my senior project... and I do sort of have them. I'm just still torn between two plots. Moreso now because it used to be three, but two of them merged on me last night, and I'm rather amused by the idea, though I have no idea how it'd work. Guys, it's gonna be my first actual legitimate novel-type project! And it counts for a rather fancy potential bit of my degree. What am I thinking??
