I slept for ten hours last night... probably more like 12 or 14, if you count all the time I was mostly-asleep on my bed while I was trying to pack. I think I was a lot more exhausted than I realized. Unfortunately, now I feel like I'm way behind on finishing up my writing, and redoing the first paragraph of this is giving me unimaginable trouble. I realized where it wasn't making sense, but I can't seem to get it to make sense while still sounding right. Hmm. I also haven't figured out whether the crew itself has actually mutanied, but they're definitely getting more space before I hit the endish part. After all, you can't just replace your usual first mate with a woman and hear nothing about it... and it also gives me an excuse for them to work something out later that gets this guy untied from the bed. Plus more characters = better.
I think I've accepted that packing isn't going to get done right. But I've got a plan for getting the essential things, and I can survive the summer without a few things if it means I get everything else done and turned in on time today.
Is it still stealing if you borrow a character you've only seen a picture of? Who doesn't even have a name, according to who he belongs to? Even though you know that, if you borrow him and stick him in, he's going to seem an awful lot like he's somehow based on Gambit, of all people, especially when it gets down to writing dialog in that accent... (Hi Sketchy, I'mstealing borrowing pirating your Card Pirate, even though he's not a pirate... MY GRADE DEPENDS ON IT kthnx. ♥)
I had a very, very weird dream about going back home last night. Hopefully that won't really happen. Because half-burried cars and strange stuffed deer and, oh, neither my mom nor myself being able to remember which house is ours is scary.
