Noam Chomsky, why on earth does your name keep coming to mind for this male character? (It's bad enough that the female's last name is Beckett... and, you know, since Chomsky is sort of an obvious name, right now the guy is Keates. Even though he doesn't want to be...) Also, I think I am one of the few people to ever mourn the fact that Eccleston and Tennant don't make good street names. Because that couldn've been... symbolic and thematic and stuff. What with, er, time and all... (I think it'd be beneficial right now if I stopped letting this thing be influenced by Manhattan Transfer. Though what that's causing in the style is really the least of my worries, considering what I wanted to name my streets after. Goshdarnit.)
Really, I have no idea how to follow that pirate story. Because my normal writing really doesn't have a unique voice. And what I sort of want to write requires footnotes... and I'm not sure if those will work properly in Open Office. Plus, you know, I've already turned in one rather experimental, obnoxious work. Maybe I should, like, not do that again. No need to press my luck.
Also, I am unusually jumpy tonight.
jabberwockeyes walked in a bit ago and scared the freaking crap out of me... somehow. And that's not often an easy thing to do. Nor is it something I'd like to admit, being a ninja and all.
She also scared me with the words "Good morning."
What? I didn't hear the door open because I had my headphones on. And she drew it out so she sounded like a ghost!
Perhaps it'd be best for me to just go to sleep at this point. Before I actually go nuts.
