Humdidum

Today I learned several things. Apparently solitaryjane and I are a couple. But that's okay, because I broke up with her a few hours later on Michigan Ave for reasons I don't quite remember, but may have been a disagreement over stealing carriage horses. Or possibly over getting separated by the crowd. (Chicago is so different on holiday weekends. Tourists!)

I can also get three inches of my hair cut off and the difference is pretty much completely unnoticable. But I learned this a long time ago when I got six inches cut off and none of my friends noticed. What I get for having long hair, I guess.

I did manage to find the book I needed for my fiction class, though. I think it may have only been at one book store in the whole of Chicago. (Well, it might be at a Barnes and Noble someplace, but I can't seem to get the site to let me search for books in specific stores). Eesh. Still can't believe it wasn't at the Co-op... or anywhere else in Hyde Park.

This is also a very bad time to have no faith in your writing. Someone tell me to stop scrapping ideas and just finish the freaking thing? I think maybe... just maybe, if I can switch it over to first person, it might work. If not... um... a small part of the fandom will probably just have to hate me, I guess. Because I suck like that.
