Three hours is not enough sleep before a final. I don't know why my body and brain did not understand that last night, but I could not fall asleep. This final is going to hurt now... I'm very afraid. On the plus side, though, I'm very much looking forward to noon, at which point I will be much closer to being done with everything. And also hopefully taking a nap, or on my way to taking a nap. Because sleep-deprived is not fun. And then after that, I've got six more pages to write... but at least I've convinced myself that doing that really only involves doubling all the paragraphs I already have... which might even be possible once I put in the quotes I need. I'm just hoping my brain doesn't get up and walk out on me. I don't think I'd blame it if it did. At least right now I'm way too tired to really register how stressed I am.
Addendum [1:08PM] I'm done. Two hours straight of writing. I have a feeling the last two pages I wrote were little more than chicken-scratch, and I resorted to using shorthand because there were only five minutes left for me to answer the last question. I know the answer to that one didn't make any sense, but I think I made at least two points in it that will get me some credit, so... And the rest of it wasn't that bad. Aside from the fact that it was greuling and I'm tired and just... every time I took a second to stop writing, I was reminded of the fact that this is ALL Cambridge's fault. Cambridge and its freaking physics department and thinking evil, evil written exams and note-taking and craziness were a good way to learn. Then again, I guess it's better than oral exams, which they also used to give... so it could be worse. I think I'm vaguely aware of the fact that I'm barely making sense right now, so I'm going to go into the bedroom, lie down on my bed, and go to sleep until about 8 tonight... then get up and finish my paper. And then be done with this quarter. Done!
