Crap... my prof hasn't e-mailed me back yet. I got up at 7:24 this morning, stared at the clock, and, with sun streaming in the windows, somehow convinced myself that I had somehow slept through all of today, past the deadline for my paper. It wasn't until I came out into the living room that I realized that 7:24 could also be a time in the AM. So I went back to sleep and had a dream that I had until Saturday on my paper, and in replying to me, my prof had used some really random quotes from Neil Gaiman that I can't remember right now. But it made me very happy. Happy would be an awful lot nicer than paranoid right now. But paranoid it is... And now I don't know whether I want to go back to sleep for a while, or start working on René again. Mnrrrr.
Edit 1 [1:21]: So, I napped from noon until one. I think I needed it (at least I had a dream that didn't involve school). And crap, I just got an e-mail back from the prof saying "it's okay with me, if it's okay with [the other prof]". The other prof who I did not e-mail because he's on vacation, and I have no idea if he's going to check his e-mail between now and... ever. Crap crap crap. All right, I'll go e-mail him. Grrrr. And explain why I didn't bother to e-mail him first. Goshdarnit, UofC. Grrr.
Edit 2 [1:53]: [Gigantic Sigh of Relief Goes Here] Omg, I have until at least Thursday. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Ahhh! Now I don't have to stay up all night tonight trying to crank out twelve pages and I can actually re-do some of my research. Oh, and study for my Civ final. A tremendous weight has been lifted from my shoulders. I'm allowed to sleep tonight!
Edit 3 [2:16]: It recently occurred to me that it's a very, very good thing that I didn't book my Greyhound tickets at the beginning of the quarter, when I was certain I'd be done Wednesday. Or really, earlier last week when I thought I'd be done Thursday. So, I guess in some cases procrastination is good. (Also, I'm onto the 11th page of my paper. Hopefully that means it'll be somewhere near ten once I'm done editing! Because omg I wrote a lot of useless stuff on the beginning of this. Eesh. Editing is painful.)
