Half of the time...

I had this plan, you see... that I would work for an hour on my papers, then take a break for an hour... then work some more. This worked well between noon and one, because that was the first hour I was awake and therefore an hour I was going to take off. It even continued sort of working through two, because I outlined my Fragments paper for a while, then picked up one of my books on Japanese script reform and read for a while. Then I got sort of bored, and there's something about the couch that just encourages me to pass out... so I slept until about four-something, and had four or five really bizarre dreams that mostly involved doing my homework and getting interrupted by giant floating inflatable purple hippos and inner-tubes out on the lake and huge greenhouses that had been built onto the front of the Shoreland. Oh, and getting my hair cut, but being interrupted by some random black-haired woman in glasses. And every time I woke up and fell asleep again, they picked up along the exact same theme, if not right where they'd left off. (There's also something about the couch that causes my dreams to be unusually realistic and surreal at the same time.) I wish I could remember them well enough to write them down.

I need to do laundry today. Yuck.

For now, though, I think my break is up, so I should go back to my reading. What a fun finals week this is going to be.
