Most of yesterday was spent wandering with [livejournal.com profile] chocolatemoose. Which was wonderful (and on the whole kept me from dwelling on the pile of homework I'd be worrying about otherwise), and very full of picture-taking. No, this is not a GIP for my Orly's icon, even though it's needed to be done since... well, since that bizarre meme took hold, really. Yay, making a Hyde Park in-joke based on an internet in-joke. This works so well! Everyone will get it!

Ah-hem... anyway. On to my bizarre exploits... which involved walking three and a half blocks balancing an astronomy text book from Crerar on my head (that was my record for not dropping it... it was on my head almost continuously from about University to the Shoreland, which is at least a mile). After getting through the park, we decided that I was protesting the way college forces people to balance their academics and... walking. It was a very effective protest, in that a lot of people stared and some smiled and laughed... and one guy in a car, in his effort to not come anywhere near making eye-contact with me, actually looked behind himself as he drove forward. That's safe.

Then we came back here, and I plotted a bit with internetly people because I'm evil like that, and then we headed downtown. Despite it being Sunday, we managed to find enough to do to keep ourselves occupied until 8:30. Most of this involved taking pictures. And trying to cope with the fact that downtown freaking smells like chocolate. Holy crap. (In the end, this forced us to go to the Hershey store were we had a brownie and hot chocolate... which ended up being a brownie dipped in hot chocolate... and then hot chocolate with brownie bits in. And then the store sort of closed, and though we wanted to go take pictures of the ice skaters in the dark (so they'd blur better), we decided to head back because it was cold, and we'd have to walk many extra blocks to do that, and I'm lazy. Then we came back to the dorm and stuff, and did a lot of sitting around in front of the computer that for some part involved watching FMA.

Edit: Omg guys, Emo, Ontario is my new favourite place. Not just because of the Rainy River and the fact that it's a tourist spot for snowmobiles, but also because of its library. The Emo Public Library. And better yet, along with the library, we have "The Emo Friends Of The Library". I need to move there. And write the story of everyone who lives there.
