I live! I only screwed up the mics... five times. But most people didn't notice. Actually they did... but there's nothing I can do about that now. And it wasn't that bad. I mean, I only had one run with the mics prior to this, so I can sort of be forgiven. Right? (I hope so...) And the people that knew the spirit voice was me said I did a good job, so yay there. (And, randomly, someone suggested that I should do voice acting. Ha ha ha. I think what made it cool was the fact that I panned it between the two sides of the stage, so it sounded cool.) I guess if someone recorded the show and I re-watch it, I'll be able to tell how things really went. But the crowd seemed to like it, and that's all that really matters. The acting really came together in the end, and that's what I was most worried about as far as things outside my control went. The stagehands I knew would get it mostly together, despite all the freaking-out done over the times to move scenery. So... whew. That's a giant weight off of my shoulders, even though I feel slightly bad I skipped out on the after-party. I'm lazy and don't like frat parties so... that's that, I s'pose. I mean, I wouldn't have lasted more than a few minutes there anyway, since that's standard party procedure for me.
That's all I have to say right now. My insane two weeks have concluded, and now I get to spend tomorrow reading and catching up on class work. Gah.
I don't know why I like the songs on Plans so much right now... I really need to buy it to make up for overplaying it on my iPod. (This is how I decide to buy CDs.) Oh, Death Cab, how I was mostly indifferent to you until Transatlanticism, even though I thought I was cooler in high school for owning Something about Airplanes. (Which I was, really. I mean, come on. And it was a good album. It just didn't get stuck in my head as well as the two most recent. I think maybe it's because the adorability of Ben Gibbard's voice just shows through better on these...)
