So, I should be writing my Sosc paper right now. Actually, I am sort of writing my Sosc paper. I'm at least a third of the way done, I think. It's just always such slow-going. Especially since I'm not out of the first paragraph yet. And I'm sort of rambling... but at least it makes sense! Thank goodness it only has to be 2-3 pages. I think I'll shoot for two and a half, and try to drink fewer cups of tea than numbers of pages (I've already finished one, but I tell myself no more until I've finished with this page).

Really, I'm writing so I can actually use the keyboard rather than just stare at the screen. I suppose now is as good a time as any to write about my day then! So I can bore everyone to death. I got up. I got dressed. I ran out the door, caught the bus, and went to CompSci. I was forced to participate. I came back. I sat down, read Plato, and fell asleep writing my grocery list. People came in and talked, I got up after I had some super-weird dream about it raining on my computer and some guy arguing with my dad about a meteor shower. Then I went to my CompSci lab... on the A-level of the Reg. And this is the most stunning part of my day: IT DIDN'T SMELL. I don't know what happened. It actually smelled like books and air. I simply could not understand, because it was also just as hot as it always is, so there is no reason for it not to have smelled like geek-sweat. I am simply baffled, but I'm certainly not complaining. I wonder how long it will last... Of course, lab took disgustingly long because we had to write some silly program for sorting out odd numbers of trues and whatnot, and I wrote something that was waymuch more complicated than it needed to be (because I do that). My TA said it was "cool," but that there was a much easier way to do it. Luckily enough for everyone in the world, this was done in the lab on a Mac, so alas there is no screenshot that you can stare at and go wtf? Then I came back... sat around a bit... did some outlining for my paper, ate what passes for dinner for me, and then went to my Physics discussion. I am elated to say that it is not even within 1 AU of the amount of demonic it was last year. My TA is nice, and Scottish. I don't know that for sure, of course... he's also new to the states, and I wouldn't place his accent in the main bits of England for some reason. I, as much as I loathe to admit things like this, automatically had a crush on his accent. So at least I'll be entertained. Plus the quizzes are so much easier. Multiple choice! Over concepts. Either I had the evillest professor in the world last year, or they've majorly overhauled the whole 131 series. So much nicer for me, though. Woo!

Well, I've wasted like, ten minutes. I suppose I should get back to writing. I'm sure this would already be about two pages... I wish I could just write random stream-of-consciousness things for my papers. But I learned my lesson with that senior year when I got half-credit for journals that were often four pages longer than they needed to be because I was "off the subject." STFU, Homunculus-Chiarello, I was on-topic for at least ten of those pages! I wrote four extra to make up for the half-page sketches of TMBG and grocery stores and the floating spectre of Beowulf!
