Oh dear goodness... A seat to myself! Window! Still light enough to use the computer, since people around here are also reading and stuff. Niiiice. It's so weird to see Youngstown go by outside. You get out of cities so quickly on the train, it seems. Heh, I feel all official here with my laptop... but I'm trying to type quietly while I'm here, in case anyone's trying to sleep. I've been up since six today... SIX, and I'm just not quite tired yet. I should probably really turn over and go to sleep, since as it is I'm not going to get much sleep, but I feel like I should savour this a little bit. I'm now 50% both ways on Amtrak having a seat and a riding buddy. I guess it's not that busy this time of year, since everyone else's spring breaks ended a few weeks ago. Hmph... I've got a feeling I accidentally left my headphones at home. Oooh well, I can replace them. And until then I can borrow my roomie's. Something in this car is really rattling around. I don't know if it's someone's luggage, or maybe something broken in one of the seats (it happens... my footrest's broken unless I put it up at the very highest... and then it just looks weird).
Meh... I think I'll wait until we're at least far enough out of the city that I don't recognize things outside anymore. Come to think of it, that might be a while yet. I've really been in a writing mood lately, too... I keep talking about it, but I never really do it. I'm a bad person. I always say that. Ah, isn't self-psycholanalysis fun?
While I was waiting for the train (which was only about 15 minutes or so late) my sister and I were discussing the definition of a cyborg, and who might be one. My mom didn't approve, because other people were listening. My sister claims that Luke Skywalker could be a cybord, but I don't think so... his arm's a prosthesis... I don't think that counts. Vader, on the other hand (along with the Teletubbies).... definitely cyborg. I'm pretty sure this has something to do with her deciding that Ziggy from Xenosaga was awesome. Interesting choice... I got all the way to the Song of Nephalim today, so it makes me sort of sad today that I've got to leave this game behind when it's going so well, and go back to that silly one at school where I'm going to have to run around and level up over and over again for a long time to get through the next battle. Silly not-thinking-ahead. It's so much harder to just level up naturally when you can actually try to avoid the enemies, you know?
Right now, I can see the glow and flame of what is either a giant out-of-control forest fire, or a real working steel mill. I'm not sure which one it's slightly less likely to be, really.
Wow, my time schedule's going to be royally screwed up when I get back. If I didn't have a whole week before daylight savings, I wouldn't even bother changing my watch. But I rely too much on it, so I'd get all confused and be an hour late to everything first week. Which would be a major disadvantage. Holy cow is it bumpy right now. I don't remember it being this bad. It can't be good for my screen to be jostled back and forth like this, so I think I'll be off to bed. When I wake up, I'll probably be in Illinois. Eep! All this moving around is starting to get to me, ya know?
