I never expected getting my grades for this quarter would actually cheer me up. I'm up to a 3.5 now! Somehow I managed to get an A- in everything but Media Aesthetics (goshdarnstupidhum). I'm going to sit here and do a lot of not thinking too much about what sort of mistakes must have been made with my grades in Calc and Bio to make them anything besides Bs. Hooray for careless grading! And now my ride is here, off to Cleveland with me. Yay
Wow... I think I've gone out to eat this week just as much as I did all of last quarter. Goshdarnit, that was not the idea! The idea was I'd come back here and eat things that my mom cooks that I can't get anywhere else! But oh well, the trip was fun, even though a red light or two was run and we sort of got lost on numerous occasions... OK, and I swear it wasn't even our fault! The directions said "turn right onto..." whatever the heck road it was, and the way onto the road going either way was a freakin' circle so either way you went it was a right turn. And naturally we chose the wrong way the first time. Silly Yahoo! directions. I would've used mapquest, but apparently when they used that in South Carolina it told them to turn on to "a local road." Very useful directions there, eh? Needless to say by the time we all got there we were a little slaphappy. The night was spent joking about and spitting water at people. And mocking my friend relentlessly because that's just what people do. Twas nice to be able to use all the old inside jokes again. And sort of scary to realize how much like my my friend's boyfriend and his friends are. Eep, people... eep. Well.. they are a lot more like some other people than they are like me, I guess. Kind of just like my entire group of friends, only guys.
I also managed to run into a ton of my old teachers when I came to pick my sister up from school today. It was really weird, because I was running late and such, so I figured I wouldn't run into anyone at all, but as I was leaving my old band director was coming out so I stopped to talk to him. I didn't even get in the doors before my english teacher from junior year stopped me, so I talked to her, too. Things seem to be pretty much the same as always on the homefront (except, of course, for the drama club, which I won't complain about because it's been complained about enough, really). I figured I shouldn't try to ruin their auditions a second time (and I didn't want to have to listen to the director laugh at his own jokes) so I went and talked to the principal, too. He was in his usual jovial mood, and luckily I didn't have to scare off any of his telemarketers this time.
Hmm.. the question now is do I stay up and work on my financial aid forms, or do I go to bed. It is almost exactly midnight... I think I'll go to sleep, and hope that my mom doesn't let me sleep in again since there's a lot of stuff I want to do tomorrow.
