Wow, I never realized how much I was going to miss my friends until tonight. I went out to Applebees with a bunch of people for my friend's going away party. She's leaving for Ithaca tomorrow at eight, and I won't see her again until the middle of December! I don't know how weird that's going to be, since I've seen her the most of all my friends over the past year (mostly because the others have boyfriends to attend to, darn them). After this weekend, everyone that isn't going to YSU is going to be gone. I don't know anyone going to OSU anymore, so they're not even around for me to bother. Except the one guy at work... he's here until the ninteenth or so, too. But what does that matter? All I ever say to him is "Hey, when you get a chance, here's the list of what we need down here," or "No, hockey is not the stupidest sport ever. That might be curling. Or cheerleading." Certainly not interesting conversation like "Once I confused the sun with the moon." Sigh. What am I to do? I guess just work until September, and hang out with my YSU-ers and sophomores when I get the chance. I was already invited to lunch in Y-town on Wednesday, so I think I'll drag them to one of the nice little restaurants around there that my mom and I like to go to. I wonder why there aren't any interesting places to eat around here... probably because this area is so amazingly culturally devoid of anything. I wish Chicago was on semesters. Oh, and we lost the football game 0-3. How dismal.
Today at work was sufficently bizarre. I was the only person on concession, and there were several hours where there were more managers than peon employees working. There was one person at every job. One usher, one box-person, and me, the lonely concessionist. I don't mind working by myself too much, but it was a little unexpected since today was Friday and all. Friday's are usually rather busy. We got three new movies, too. Le Divorce, My Boss's Daughter, and the Medallion. I imagine I'll go see le Divorce (people need to stop pronouncing that Lay Divorcee) and the Medallion, but I don't even know what My Boss's Daughter is about. I didn't even get a break today, since there was no one to watch the concession stand while I left. I imagine one of the managers could have, but none of the offered, and I don't mind the extra half-hour of work, since our hours are going to get cut soon anyway once school starts. I imagine I'll be alright, since I'll be one of the few that will be able to work during the weekdays up until I leave (10 days until my two-weeks notice). I can see about two or three people coming in through the entire shift. Perhaps the theatre's closed anyway. That would be sort of nice, so I'd have my weedays all to myself to pack up and such.
Well, I think I'll be off to bed bed bed, since it's 1:00. Hopefully the evil dog won't keep me up again, I'm awefully tired.
