... OK, I can't listen to the clips of the FMA dubs. I just can't. Usually I can amuse myself with the dubs, like the ghetto SEELE in Eva and... whatever the freaking heck's going on with the rest of them. But... I don't know. I just... can't listen to it. It really isn't even that bad, but it just doesn't fit. Trigun's fit (Meryl and Milly are annoying and whiny, no matter what the language)... Cowboy Bebop's fit (except I still maintain that Spike's voice was just a teensy bit too low)... but Ed is too old, Al is too mechanical, and all the voices are just too freaking... umm... the adjective I'm looking for here doesn't really exist, so I'll say... umm... american voice-actorish. And that there, I believe, is probably the root of my problem. I basically worship the original seiyuus. I dunno... the dialogue just doesn't work right... I'm going to watch it anyway, though. Because I am sadistic. And because I still hold out hope. I always hold out hope. I mean... I could probably stand the series if they got the military right. But ooooh if they screwed up Hughes I will hunt them down. I had this evil dream that they just couldn't get Hughes right and he came off as like, bipolar or crazy, or just constantly hyper-evil-picture-weilding... and if the new fans don't know Hughes for who he's supposed to be I'll probably cry. I mean... there's hope here, the series is extremely easy to translate into English name-wise, places-wise... concept-wise (unlike Naruto, because things like Kage-Bushin-No-Jutsu just don't translate prettily). But I fear the editing... especially in the first two episodes when the whole non-religion thing is so evident. They'd better let it be, because otherwise... yeah... it just makes no sense to edit things like that. Editing scares me. I mean... editing like they did for Gantz, ok... sure. Editing themes in FMA? Bad. No.

I think I'm just being an elitist here... it's a very evil feeling. I don't wanna grow up to be an elitist! Elitists are mean! Elitists want to turn the n00barites into the philosopher's stone. Actually... I think just to anger people for the first few weeks as the new fans start appearing people should go around and decide which ones actually have souls that we could sacrifice to make the philosopher's stone. The annoying ones have no soul, so being sacrificed for the stone is like, an acceptance thing. Hehehe. And eurrrgh the Roy fangirls will scare me. Havoc, however, will be safe until 37 when everyone realizes that he's super-cool, even though they won't know that he's a ninja.

Outside of my rambling, my friends, if you have Cartoon Network make sure you watch the premier of FMA at midnight/11pm central on November 6th. And judge by the story, not the voices! And at least watch episode 5 to enjoy the beautiful awesomeness of Hughes in all his glory. And imagine me weeping if they screw him up. Weeping and shaking my fist at the sky cursing Funimation. It'll fall on December 4th. January 29 will also be a good one to watch. And April 23rd is doom. Fear it.

I think I'm more scared of the fact that you have the important dates already noted. ..Yes, that frightens me.

But not as much as I frightened Anne when i showed her the picture frame. "PUT IT AWAY. YOU'RE OBSESSED. STOP IT!" *beams*

And its ok if we're elitest! As long as its only one or two shows, its forgiveable! We've already watched it for a year (or so many months!)! WE'RE ALLOWED. :D

Silly n00barites. *weeps for Roy. watches Roy get ready for burninating*

We are so proud of freaking people out with our obsession, aren't we? If it helps, you can pretend that that dates are probably wrong... I imagine there's some holiday in there where it will be skipped.. or slow dubbing.. or one-hour specials... do they do one-hour specials for shows that start at midnight?
