I live!

I suppose it's only fair to make an unlocked entry letting people know I did manage to survive Wednesday. And today. So hooray for that! (And hey, you were mostly spared my randomness otherwise!) My old roomie was in town, which lead to class-skippage this morning (a very bad idea, since I didn't go on Tuesday either). Though I guess I'm not taking that one... there are other classes to sit in on next week that I could just as easily justify taking, I guess. It's just sort of bad that I don't want to drop either of my random classes this quarter (Visual Arts 102, which is basically a sculpture class, and my Fragments class, which is partial literature sort of stuff. Not only are both classes cool, but both instructors are, too.) At least I went to Civ today. The professor really reminded me of a cross between Snape and Daniel Jackson. I know picturing that is really hard, but if you sat in on his class, you'd probably understand immediately. (Keeping in mind, of course, my views on Snape here.)

Other than hanging out with her and taking random pictures that I'll have to put up eventually, I've basically been going to class and doing things for CUSA. Yay. (And this music for the wushu demonstration they just sent me? Okay, I'm only laughing a little...) If anyone knows a good place to grab sound effects from, though, that would be très awesome. Because right now... the gunshot we needed that I couldn't find a decent effect for? (You'd think there'd be decent gunshot sound effects somewhere). It's lifted from episode 25 of FMA. I'm pretty sure that's a special kind of cruel. Not that anyone would ever recognize it, but... well... it was the only one I could think of without background music interfering! (And it's much better than the others I found anyway).

This may seem really random, but I couldn't find your e-mail and this is a little too long for text messages.

Anyway, on [Unknown site tag]'s info page, you said to run any site advertising by you.

I'm opening a FMA mary-sue reporting blog ([profile] fullmetalsues)on lj and I needed a place to spread the word. XP

I probably won't get to actually doing the advertising for a while because I still need to get the layout/graphics tweaked (and fullmetal-alchemist.com is down. T__T).

Thanks,

But this would have made such an amusing text message! (I would've been so confused. ^_^) I suppose, in all my brilliance, I hid my e-mail address to avoid spam, so hey, no problem with commenting here.

I don't have a big problem with advertising the blog on [livejournal.com profile] fma_writers, though I've tried to keep the association with actual sporking there to a minimum. But things have been slow lately, and you actually asked. ^_^ Just out of curiosity, how are you going to be dealing with these Sues?

Thank you!

It'll be like the typical mary-sue report, with the "annoying connection to canon" and "origins" and whatnot, but there'll be a rating sytem, based on grammar, originality, if the canon characters are IC and my current mood XP...etc.

I'll be trying to keep the sarcastic comments inserted into the middle of fic to a minimum in order for the readers to truly appreciate the sue-fic in all its "glory".
