Looks like I won't be biking tomorrow.

(Actually, maybe I shouldn't say that. But it'll be an adventure, at least.)

And while I'm nattering on about super-local nonsense: someone is selling a loft with a fireman's pole in the West Loop. And considering how tastelessly the rest of that beautiful space seems to be decorated, no wonder they pointed out the fireman's pole (my personal selling-point for a loft) as the main feature. Someone want to loan me about a million dollars so I can get it and fix it up properly?

...What I wanna know is, how do people possibly get the Batmobile confused with a taxi? OOH! OOH! Does it have a taxi urban camouflage mode?! :DD

So did the storm get any worse better? I suppose I could look it up myself, but meh. Work.

He just puts a little taxi lamp on the top. People just assume that that makes it a real taxi. I dunno, I'll never understand tourists. On slow nights he does paint it yellow, though.

I caught the worst of it on my walk to the bus stop. Despite my raincoat and umbrella I ended up soaked, but that's about it. It wasn't even windy enough to hurt my umbrella, and it was done with by the time I got downtown. We have a much more impressive storm four years or so, I think, which uprooted a significant percentage of the trees in the neighborhood. I should really see if the storm was worse elsewhere, or if people just really enjoyed hyping it up for the heck of it.

Man, is there, like, no crime in Chicago? Batman sounds like he must be really bored.

...So the worst storm in 70 years featured... some rain. LAME.

We're in that awkward phase between the appearance of superheroes and the awakening of their nemeses. Batman has been very bored since they ousted Blago, who was a decent stand-in for a super-villain, but not quite the same. Hopefully we can find a good replacement this coming Tuesday.

I know, right? Chicago weather needs to try harder. I used to be afraid of storms at home. Here, I don't think the weather has even managed to make me jump at the sound of thunder. (Gunshots, yes. Thunder, no.)
