Meme time!

Reply and I'll tell you something I like about you.

Afterward, copy and paste this into your own journal.

I logged like, six an a half hours working on that blasted computer last night. I didn't get to bed until nearly three. And it's still not done! I feel super-bad that we couldn't back everything up, too. I tried everything... captive NTFS, mounting the disk three different ways, networking her computer to mine... nothing. No luck. (I hate computers). So in the end we sent the files over the internet using my gmail account and AIM and IRC (until one or the other ceased to function... apparently you get that when you have to boot Linux from a CD). I also officially hate Dell, because after spending forever and a half reformatting and reinstalling windows, I still had to sit there for another hour and reinstall ALL THE FREAKING DRIVERS.

Oh, and I woke up at like, nine this morning. I'm never up at nine. It might have been because we had prospies out in the living room who were packing up, but I know they woke me up earlier and all I did was pull the covers back and roll over. For some reason at 9:18 I was just compelled to roll out of bed and start the day. Despite the fact that it's really depressingly cloudy (and cold) out today. Maybe I should go find a movie or something to watch, rather than trying to figure out which subbers I want to follow for the new series. I'm sure after my adventures with the network last night there's a giant flag on my bandwidth usage.

And of course, the very important thing about today is: Happy Earth Day!

Oh, and it's also like, [livejournal.com profile] becada422's birthday or something like that. Yeah.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY [livejournal.com profile] becada422!!!

Why, hello there.

First off, your icon is awesome. Actually, your icons are almost always awesome. But that's nothing in comparison to the fact that 1: you are probably the only coherant 8th-grader I've known on the entire internet (aside from when I was in 8th grade. I knew coherant 8th graders then. Back in my day, people used spelling on teh internets! And made eye-bleedingly-coloured Animorphs fan-pages. And when someone wrote sex into their fanfic people freaked out. Ah, the 90s. Don't you love how this is about me now?); 2: your references to your general awesome taste in things such as Discworld in the middle of sporkings/Mary Sues are awesome; and 3: there is no three, but asymmetry is the new symmetry. Actually, there might have been a three, but I forgot it along the way while I was rambling about the 90s, and wanted to talk about symmetry instead.

::shot:: ^_^

Yay! I'm coherant! And don't worry, I'm sure things were better in the nineties... except me. I wrote like one of today's eighth graders. O_o Does that mean that when I'm a bit younger than JKR was when she started writing Harry Potter, I'll have sold a bestselling series popular enough to get burned by rabid, overzealous Catholics?

Sounds like a goal to me. Maybe someday someone can burn my books, too. I suppose if worse comes to worse and we're desperate, we can both head campaigns to burn the other's books. (-;

(The nineties were probably not better looking from the position I'm in now. I remember a very large percentage of crap on the internet at that time, but I was far too concerned with getting the information on the next book before the kids who had "connections" to the author did, so I noticed less. ^_^)

I wouldn't burn anyone's books ._. It's, like, sacreligeous.

I didn't notice much either, but that's because I was, like, nine when I first started writing fanfic. O_o
